Take a lovely boat tour through the complex waterways of Marino las Baulas National Park to observe the abundant wildlife of the tropical dry forest, while learning about the unique ecosystem of the mangrove forest. While navigating up the estuary you’ll be able to spot iguanas, crocodiles and lots of different species of wading birds right in front of you. Half way through the Tamarindo mangrove tour you will have the chance to get off the boat and into the national park. Here you will encounter Howler monkeys, raccoons and other animals in the treetops above. This tour is a great way to enjoy nature, but still have a relaxed morning or afternoon.

Palo Verde National Park is an amazing wildlife reserve featuring both wetlands and tropical dry forest. It is home to over 300 different species of waterfowl and shorebirds, which makes it a bird watcher’s paradise. Explore this beautiful sanctuary by boat, where you can relax while taking in sights of white faced Capuchin monkeys, Howler monkeys, crocodiles, and iguanas. Located 1.5 hours away from Tamarindo, it is a full day experience, perfect for all ages and members of the family as there is very little walking involved.
Explore the amazing sights that the Pacific Ocean has to offer by taking a 2 tank dive trip near the mesmerizing volcanic rock formations named the Catalina Islands. Located approx. 40 mins by boat ride from the shore, these islands are teeming with sea life, not seen near the shore. Become captivated by giant manta rays, dolphins, reef sharks, humpback whales, sea turtles and more as you float deep beneath the indigo waters.

A perfect trip, made for nature lovers where you can gently row through the calm emerald waters of the estuary found in Marino las Baulas National Park, located just between Playa Tamarindo and Playa Grande.
