This property is outstanding. It is truly beautiful as are the staff and management. Staff was attentive, professional, and very solicitous to ensure a superb stay. Excellent customer service. The breakfast made by Karen was a treat every morning. The restaurants in Tamarindo are excellent, especially Fish and Cheeses, Tabu, and Argentinian Grill and restaurant. The service was impeccable. We went on several excursions: ATV/zipline, sunset cruise, and Rincon de la Vieja National Park. All were arranged through Romi, our concierge, who was fabulous. The guides and boat crew were absolutely perfect and very much wanted to make sure everyone was taken care of. Would definitely recommend.

Our stay at Casa Sundowner exceeded every expectation. The home itself is absolutely stunning and high end, beautifully designed, and extremely well appointed. Everything felt thoughtful and elevated, from the layout to the finishes, and it made for a perfect setting to relax and enjoy time together.

The location is hard to beat. It felt private and secure, yet incredibly convenient to everything in Tamarindo. One of the highlights for us was having the golf cart, it made getting into town quick, easy, and honestly just a fun part of the experience.

The pool and private beach access truly set this property apart. We spent a lot of time enjoying both, and it never felt crowded or overdone, just a perfect balance of luxury and comfort.

What really made the stay stand out, though, was the service. Romi, the concierge, was outstanding. She was extremely attentive and handled every request seamlessly, even when plans changed on the fly. It made everything feel effortless.

Karen, our “house mom,” was equally incredible. Her breakfasts were consistently excellent, and she kept the home spotless without ever feeling intrusive. She brought such a warm, welcoming energy to the house and was always a pleasure to be around.

Overall, the entire experience felt easy, elevated, and very well taken care of from start to finish. We felt completely safe, comfortable, and relaxed the entire time.

We would absolutely recommend Casa Sundowner to anyone looking for a high end, stress free stay in Tamarindo. We’ll definitely be back.

From the booking process to the departure the service was professional. Great location to explore both beaches. Our house mom was fabulous, so cheerful and always smiling. Our pool guy was great and the property was kept in great condition. The house manager was very helpful with our concerns and bookings of tours and helped us with the questions we had. It was great experience. Costa Ricans are so friendly.

The house was exceptional. Five Star Tamarindo staff exceeded my expectations, every request was handled very quickly and professionally. Location to town was convenient and the view was beautiful.

Hello there!

We had a wonderful week vacation at the Casa Sundowner house. The house was well equipped for all our needs.(major bonus points for the large icemaker.) The layout of the house really worked well for our family, including easy access to the beach to watch the sunset. Romi was great at taking care of anything we needed anytime of the day!
The house mom made an amazing breakfast every morning, and I woke up to the smell of fresh coffee. Highly recommend this home and Five Star. Also a family member left her AirPods behind, they were found and are being sent back to us! Five Star gives five star service.

My wife and I took our 3 adult kids and 2 significant others on an 8 day trip to Costa Rice and stayed at this property. It was a great trip and Sundowner was a big reason why. The location was ideal for morning beach walks and provided great outdoor space because a few of us needed to do a little work each morning but in the warm sunshine by the pool with a coffee in hand it really didn't seem like work. The house mom Karen was great and provided wonderful breakfasts and afternoon snacks. Romi was also very helpful with anything we needed. I told my wife I may have enjoyed this trip more than any of our other warm weather trips.
