Josef Krogulec is a Costa Rican native who has called Tamarindo home for over ten years. Before joining Five Star Tamarindo, he spent years as a fishing charter captain on Guanacaste's Pacific coast, where he learned that a great trip comes down to the details and to someone who knows the area well.

Today he brings that same hands-on approach to every stay. Josef and his team handle everything from the moment you book: private chefs, surf lessons, sportfishing, golf tee times, and airport transfers. Your only job is to enjoy it.

Josef is also a real estate agent with Palmyra Properties. He helps buyers find homes, condos, and investment properties across Tamarindo and Guanacaste. Because he manages vacation rentals every day, he can give buyers a clear sense of how a property is likely to perform as a rental. Many of his clients first come to Costa Rica as guests and later return as homeowners.

When he's not looking after guests or clients, you'll find Josef out fishing or on the golf course, and he's always happy to share his favorite local spots.
